The ATA The Anti-Trafficking Alliance (ATA) was newly established in 2005 by a group of postgraduates of the MSc ‘Violence, Conflict and Development’ course at School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London. With a sound knowledge of international development policy and action, conflict-related issues and overseas fieldwork experience, the group felt that more must done to tackle the immense issue of human trafficking for sexual exploitation around the globe. The ATA is a non-profit, non-governmental, charitable organisation that continues to be managed by 5 Trustees. The majority of the work done by ATA is completed by the Trustees, who work voluntarily and without payment. Many excellent and committed volunteers have helped build the organisation over the years, who we offer our thanks and gratitude to. We also use expert consultants on specific projects to help us achieve our work.
